Blackjack in Las Vegas may not only refer to the card game of blackjack; it can even mean that it is a cozy hideaway in one of those cottages along the great Nevada lakes such as Lake Tahoe, and the other favorite lake destinations of many tourists from all over the world. Or Blackjack in Las Vegas can also refer to a special menu for gamblers out to recover energies lost in a night of gambling, offered for free among the perks one gets for staying in a hotel right next to a casino.
Of course the original intent of the words Blackjack in Las Vegas is still the gambling of blackjack in the many casinos proliferating in that entertainment capital of the world.
The latest event of note which made the City of Las Vegas more famous to all parts of the globe was the recent concert of Andrea Boscelli, the blind Italian singer which was a big hit and is now recorded for posterity in several CDs finding its way to the many electronic markets of the earth. Dubbed as Boscelli's first pop concert ever, and appropriately titled "Amore under the Desert Sky", the concert scenery was simply breathtaking.
With the concert setting located in one of the major lakeside hotels of Las Vegas, the beauty of the event made people forget that Las Vegas is normally associated with gambling in the casinos. It was one big cultural event unique and unusual in a place known more largely before as just Blackjack in Las Vegas.
Even non-casino gamblers now talk of Blackjack in Las Vegas as a result of the Boscelli invasion on the entertainment venues of that beautiful city by the lake. The music lovers got exposed to the beauty of the Las Vegas scenery even before actually seeing Las Vegas themselves.
Those who just heard of the gambling in Las Vegas before, connoting gambling rooms polluted with foul air from cigar and cigarette smoke, now have a different vision of the place. The non-gamblers are now watching closely other cultural events in that entertainment capital of the world, pledging to fly over to watch and enjoy the shows for themselves.
